sounds like a good idea to some of you that maybe know him but i dont and only heard of him last month...... yeh he did good last week...... but if were on about sponsering someone why not our own ie: phil i would pay him every month to see him drift FULLTIME not to get my name on his car but because i know he has the big drifty balls and will get there one day.... i could waffle on but i think thats enough what do you think????
i dont think anyone has heard of him out of our island before silverstone. no one sent him money when he was competing here in the DX when most of us irish were watchin on... he put on a good performance ok, but i think this is blown a bit out of proportion, he's never won and irish D1 round! hes's still learing the ae86, so lay off the pressure on him a bit
well ive given him £1.07 so there. its what was left in my paypal and he asked on here if there were any sponsers so were just helping along.
Why not raffle off something to give an incentive to people. It only has to be something small like the option dvd's or some d1 t-shirts. Something like that might make people more inclined to donate !! Just a suggestion
yes, i thought the same but he has been invited to the US to drift at Irwindale. AFAIK, no one else has had this sort of opportunity, so I think it would be in every drifters best interest to back him and finally get us some recognition over here (GB & IRL), so the sport will be taken more seriosuly and grow.
We are thrashing out a few details about this at the moment, Darren has the final say on stuff though, so waiting to hear back.
