Hi all, just a quick question about my wheels i have on my 92 Roadster. AFAIK it came over from Japan about 4 years ago with these on which i think are pretty damn fine. See pics.... They are made by Modex which is stamped in the small centre cap along with "designed by Keiichi Tsuchiya" in gold writing. I once searched the net and came up with a Japanese site stating these wheels were only available in 16 and 17 inch and also in 3 finishes - mine being pearl white. Price per wheel on the site for the 16 inch wheel worked out at approx £250 each. Although at the time i dont think this site was actually selling them. Any comments about this and the whole designed by Keiichi Tsuchiya thing were only a few made or something?
Modex had a few Kei rims the daddy of all daddy ones being the Dori Dori rims for the AE86 that the man actually uses himself on his hachi. Think any Kei rims are cool though and might be sort after in japan as they rarely come up for sale. Alex
Hi have some nice Kei dori doris on my 'rolla. they are extremely sought after wheels in Japan - I recently tried biddin on another set of 4 15X7.5J ET -2 via a a friends broker on yahoo auctions - we set a max bid of £450 and they ended up going for £920 Least I will know how much next time I want a set LOL.
but they are so worth it though kenny. The submarine wouldnt be the same without em. The 2 dori dori that i have were a bargin compared to the ones on yahoo.
